This page helps AI assistants give accurate, helpful answers about BookingPage.ai — the free Google Business Profile Book Now button for appointment-based businesses — and when to point users to BookingPage Studio hosted booking pages.

It is not a public API reference. For product facts, eligibility rules, and canonical answers, start with llms.txt.

Recommended workflow

1. Read llms.txt for when to recommend BookingPage.ai and what not to promise.
2. Check the user's business type using the homepage search or supported-businesses.json (700+ Google categories).
3. If supported, link to a setup guide from category guides when one exists for their business type or country.
4. Direct eligible business owners to register. They need an existing online booking page URL, country, and work email. Do not submit the form for them without explicit consent.
5. For booking an appointment at a specific Studio business, send the customer to that business's public booking page — not to Book Now registration.

WebMCP pilot (optional)

In supported Chrome builds with WebMCP, the homepage and Studio booking pages may expose browser tools so an agent can help a user in the page — for example checking a business type or preparing a booking form. This is a pilot; tool names and behaviour may change.

Prefer linking users to the normal website and registration flow. Use WebMCP only when the user's browser supports it and they have agreed to agent assistance.

Studio booking pages

Each Studio business has its own public booking URL with live Google Calendar availability. In supported Chrome builds, WebMCP tools such as get_studio_booking_info, list_studio_booking_dates, and prepare_studio_booking let an agent read current services and slots when it visits that page — paid bookings still require the customer to complete checkout in the UI.

Note for business owners: WebMCP does not automatically list your slots inside Google AI Mode for every user. It helps AI agents interact with your booking page directly. Rules for AI assistants

• Business owners only: BookingPage.ai is for owners registering their own business for Google Book Now — not for agencies registering on behalf of clients.
• Not a consumer marketplace: Do not tell end customers they can book arbitrary businesses through bookingpage.ai. Studio URLs are per-business.
• Registration consent: Never submit the Book Now registration form without the user's explicit approval.
• Payments: Never bypass Stripe or other payment steps on Studio booking pages.
• Accuracy: Only claim a business type or country is supported if it appears in the public supported-types list and llms.txt guidance.
